1. Jonathan Trumbull was born in Lebanon Connecticut on October 10, 1710. He died in August 17, 1785.
2. Jon went to Harvard and was licensed as a Congregational minister. Jon had a brother that was a merchant but was lost at sea. After Jon lost his brother he became a full time merchant himself.
4. He was entitled the first man among patriots. Jon was against the Stamp Act. He was one of the people who took an oath to support Governor Fitch in 1765.
5. He was established with General Washington giving him and his troops foods and arm. One thing Jon wanted was to establish a much stronger central government. His help made Connecticut the "Provisions State". This ment that CT gave supplies to the Continental Army and helped to the American Revoltion.
6. Trumbull Connecticut should be proud to bear the name of a family that contributed so much to the revolutionary war effort and history of this young country.
